Soap needs fats. And tallow brings the goods:

• Hard, long-lasting bars (no sad, mushy soap after three showers)
  
• Creamy, stable lather
  
• Gentler feel compared to some harsher detergent-style cleansers
  
• Naturally conditioning profile when formulated correctly
  

In other words: it cleans you without acting like your skin owes it money.

Honestly, we don't know why you aren't using it yet. Just saying. 

Psoriasis and eczema (atopic dermatitis) are both “angry-skin” conditions, but the common theme is that the skin barrier is not doing its job, allowing moisture to escape and irritants to enter. Moisturizing isn’t just cosmetic here—it’s part of treatment.

With eczema, especially, the big issue is barrier damage. Emollients work by forming a protective layer that reduces water loss and helps the barrier recover.

Tallow is rich in lipids/fatty acids, and those fats can function as an occlusive/emollient layer—basically: keep the good moisture in, keep the cranky triggers out.

(Native humor version: your skin’s perimeter fence is down. Tallow helps rebuild it so the wind, soap, and “mystery ingredients” stop trespassing.)

Psoriasis is characterized by scaling and cracking; eczema is characterized by intense dryness and itching. Emollients are recommended because they reduce scaling, itching, and discomfort and can make the skin more supple, reducing the risk of cracking.

Alright, CALM DOWN. Nobody panic, this is fixable. Take your precious tallow treasure inside, give it a gentle stir, and put it in the fridge to cool down and solidify. You will lose the light, fluffy consistency of whipped tallow, but you will now have a balm, which works just as well. We're talking about it melting recently, and you need to fix it. You left it in the car for days, and it's a problem. That we can’t fix, we warned you, room temp.

Ya, that's a good thing! Means you're using real soap! Just take a sponge or your favorite cleaning scrubber and some elbow grease and wipe it down. It will come right off.
